Spinal stenosis facts

  • The risk of developing spinal stenosis increases
    in those over 501
  • There is no known correlation between incidences of lumbar
    spinal stenosis and race2
  • Keeping hip adductors and abductors, quadriceps and hamstrings in shape will increase stability and make walking easier1
  • Compensating for lumbar stenosis pain by slowing the gait, limiting walking distances and leaning onto objects often promotes disease progression, especially in elderly women with osteoporosis2
